Schavemaker Logistics and Transport operates across various intermodal freight flows throughout Europe. For the Digital Assistant pilot, the focus was on the tipper division, which manages a large fleet of vehicles where tachograph compliance alongside daily planning is a core part of operations.

The challenge: follow up in a fast paced operation

Personally discussing infringements with drivers takes time and planning in day to day operations. Before long, the team was spending hours each week on this follow up alone.

The solution: working smarter with AI

After a successful pilot, the Digital Assistant was quickly rolled out across the entire division. The introduction went smoothly. There were some questions about privacy and how the system works, but after a clear explanation there was broad support. "It's a very big change when you've never been used to it. The results were almost immediately noticeable. Infringements are addressed straight away, at a moment when the driver still clearly remembers the situation. This makes the conversation not only more effective, but also more relevant. On top of that, drivers receive an immediate explanation of the infringement through the Digital Assistant. This creates greater awareness of the infringement and how it can be prevented. That visibly contributes to a reduction in the number of potential infringements.
