Reliable hardware for mandatory tachograph downloads
Hardware that reads tachographs and driver cards in the legally required format, manually or fully automatic.

Downloading tachograph data is mandatory. Missing data is expensive.
What changes when your downloads run reliably
No more missing data
Driver cards and tachographs are downloaded according to the correct standard, every single time. Whether you choose manual or automatic, Roadsoft hardware ensures your data is always meeting legal standards, so you are ready for an inspection.

Less time spent on administration
Automatic download means data is sent straight into your software and stored safely on our online servers, without you having to go physically into the vehicle. No cables, no chasing drivers, no time wasted on a task that can run in the background.

Confidence when inspectors arrive
During an inspection, authorities can request your tachograph files on the spot. With complete data that meets legal standards, you can always comply stressfree.

Getting your data the right way
Transport companies can choose between manual or automatic tachograph and driver card reading. Manual reading requires regular hands-on actions and careful planning to avoid missing data, while automatic reading downloads data remotely, imports it directly into the software and is saved on our secure servers. Automatic reading saves time, reduces the risk of missing data, and provides greater certainty during inspections. However, Roadsoft supports both ways of collecting data.

How It Works
Our tachograph solutions aim to lighten the workload of the user and keeps tasks simple and actionable. We combine our proven products with innovative technology to stay ready for any changes in regulation or inspection methods.
Downloading Your Data
With Roadsoft, driver cards and digital tachographs are downloaded manually or remotely. This can be done using our hardware or through an integration with your telematics provider.
Data Storage
We store your data safely on our ISO certified online server. Our server continuously processes all the incoming data and stores this in your dedicated safe database.
Tachograph Analysis Software
Our software proactively monitors your compliance and creates tasks when issues arise, so you always know what to do and when to do it. If something does go wrong, tasks are automatically created with clear actions, keeping you compliant at all times.
Digital Assistant
If you don’t have time or resources to periodically discuss violations with your drivers, we offer a simple solution with our innovative Digital Assistant. When violations occur, the assistant calls your drivers explaining them what happened. It collects feedback from your driver, which is then automatically transcribed and stored in your analysis software.

Frequently asked questions
Legally, driver cards must be downloaded every 28 days and digital tachographs every 90 days. To ensure total tachograph compliance and avoid the risk of missing data, we recommend downloading driver cards every 14 days and the tachograph itself once a month.
Manual downloading (using tools like the DigiFob Pro or DigiPost) requires physical access to the vehicle or card. Remote downloading (via the DigiDL) is fully automated, sending data directly to your tachograph software. While both ensure compliance, remote downloading eliminates the risk of human error and missing deadlines.
Most modern tachographs are compatible. However, units manufactured before 2012 generally do not support remote data transfer. If you operate older vehicles, manual reading with a DigiFob Pro is required. Roadsoft hardware supports both VDO and Stoneridge tachographs.
The tachograph and driver card record driving times, rest periods, other work, and availability. It also logs technical data like overspeeding, sensor faults, and manual entries. This data is essential for your tachograph analysis software to generate violation reports for you to take the necessary legally required actions.
Analog tachographs use paper discs which cannot be read by digital hardware. Drivers must manually keep these records. However, for a mixed fleet, you can still use Roadsoft tachograph software to store and analyze your digital data.
Missing a download deadline can result in fines. Choosing reliable hardware like the DigiDL or DigiPost ensures that your data is downloaded on time and archived securely on our ISO-certified servers, making you "inspection-ready" at all times.
