Legislative change
Since the beginning of 2021, legislation regarding waybills has changed. The Goods Road Transport Act (WWG) and the Goods Road Transport Regulation (RGW) have been tightened. The fine is €180,-.
Old situation
Previously (article 2.13 WWG), driving without a waybill was only forbidden without consequences. It was also not possible to fill in loading and unloading locations. Now the waybill must always be filled in completely and correctly. Commercial transport without a waybill or with incomplete/incorrect waybill is legally prohibited.
Domestic transport
For domestic transport, the following information must be correctly stated on the waybill:
- Name and address details of the sender
- Name and address details of the recipient
- Description of the goods/cargo
- Gross weight or quantity of goods
International transport
For international transport, the following information must be correctly stated on the waybill:
- Name and address of the sender
- Place and date of receipt
- Specific place for delivery of the cargo
- Total number of packages (incl. number and unique marks of packages present)
- Instructions for filling in formalities
Avoid this unnecessary fine by having your waybills properly organized for every trip.
