Schavemaker went from hours of manual follow-up to fifteen minutes a week and is already seeing violations drop

With Roadsoft's Digital Assistant, compliance follow-up went from hours to minutes and violations are already declining.
Tipper trucks and 25 drivers across The Netherlands
Schavemaker specialises in transporting bulk goods by tipper truck: sand, scrap metal, construction materials. With around 25 Dutch drivers on the road, tachograph compliance is a constant alongside daily planning and operations.
The challenge: follow-up that kept slipping
Violations were being flagged. Reports were generated periodically and shared with drivers through the company's own app. But actually discussing violations one-on-one was a different story. "In practice, it's just really hard to get a driver into the office at a time that works." Routes had to be rearranged, schedules had to be reshuffled, and all of it cost the team a few hours every week. When things got busy, follow-up was the first thing to slip. "It's the kind of thing you quickly let slide."
The solution: from hours per week to fifteen minutes
After a pilot with five drivers, the entire Dutch team was connected to the Digital Assistant. Resistance was minimal: a few questions about privacy, but after a clear explanation it was accepted quickly. "It's a huge change when you've never worked with it. But once you do, it turns out to be a very small change."
The impact was immediate. Follow-up that previously took hours per week is now done in about fifteen minutes. Violations are discussed while they're still fresh, and the number of violations is already declining, partly because drivers now receive an explanation with every infringement. "It's nice that you don't have to discuss it yourself anymore. And if you get called three times about the same country code, you start thinking: I'm going to figure that out."
"This is just a really good move. It's good for ILT. And I can tell it's good for the drivers too. You're helping them make fewer violations. And they get the explanation straight away. That's a good combination."
